Finally, I’m getting around to setting up my own code-related blog. Ever since I got this domain, it was my wish to setup a blog only for technical matters, as my personal blog tends to be very eclectic in its’ contents and it could be a distraction. After reading Tom Preston-Werner’s article Blogging Like a Hacker, I thought setting it up with jekyll could be a good fit for my DIY sensibilities.
There is a little bit of learning curve with respect to Textile and Liquid, but both are quite easy to get up to speed with. The design part is a different ballgame, though. Learning CSS could be quite frustrating (especially for coders), but very much worth the effort. I hope to embellish the site a bit more in the coming days, and I’m hoping it won’t look so barebones then :)
